Complete Cobblemon Collection Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I get the new pokemon to spawn in my world?
The added Pokémon spawn through Cobblemon's normal spawn system, so they appear in the same biomes and conditions as their species would in the base mod. If nothing is showing up, check that your world's spawn settings and difficulty allow natural spawning, and give it time in unexplored chunks.
Why aren't legendary pokemon spawning?
This mod intentionally disables natural legendary spawns, so you will never find them wandering in the wild. You need to obtain them through other means like commands, trading, or whatever spawn method your setup uses.
Do I need to install data packs or resource packs separately?
No, everything is bundled into the mod file itself, so you just drop it in your mods folder and the models, animations, and spawn data load automatically. Adding separate packs on top can cause conflicts.
How do I know which pokemon are added by this mod?
Any Pokémon not present in base Cobblemon is coming from this collection. You can browse the full roster in the mod menu interface, which lists the creatures included in the pack.
My game crashes or lags with this mod installed
The mod adds hundreds of fully modeled and animated creatures, so it is heavier than base Cobblemon. Lower your render distance, reduce entity spawn caps if your pack allows it, and make sure you are not running other mods that add overlapping Pokémon.
Can I use this mod with other cobblemon addons?
It can work alongside other addons, but overlapping species from two different packs often cause duplicate spawns or model conflicts. If you see weird behavior, remove addons that add the same Pokémon.
How do I start catching the new pokemon?
Craft and use Poké Balls the same way you would in base Cobblemon, then explore biomes where the species you want spawns. Weaken the Pokémon in battle before throwing to improve your catch rate.
Does this mod work on a server?
Yes, but the mod must be installed on both the server and every client connecting to it, since it adds models and animations that clients need to render. A server-only install will not work.
Why do some pokemon have no walking animation?
Animations come from the individual community authors whose work was combined into this pack, so quality varies between species. If a specific Pokémon looks static, that is how it was contributed and is not a bug you can fix on your end.
How do I complete the pokedex with this mod?
Catch the added species through normal exploration and battling, then check your Pokédex to see which entries are still missing. For legendaries, which do not spawn naturally, use whatever non-wild method your setup provides.
