Stack Multiple Protection Enchantments on One Armor Piece

How It Works

Normally, Minecraft prevents you from combining different protection enchantments on the same armor piece. This data pack removes that restriction, allowing Protection, Blast Protection, Fire Protection, and Projectile Protection to coexist on boots, leggings, chestplates, and helmets.

Applying Multiple Enchantments

Using an Enchanting Table:

Enchant your armor piece normally. If you get one protection type, you can enchant it again to potentially receive a different protection type. Repeat until you have the combination you want.

Using an Anvil:

Combine two armor pieces that each have different protection enchantments. Place one piece in the left slot and another in the right slot. The anvil will merge both enchantments onto the result without canceling either one out.

Using Commands:

Use /give with NBT data to create armor with multiple protection enchantments applied simultaneously.

Benefits

With all four protection types on a single piece, you gain comprehensive defense against multiple damage sources—fire, explosions, projectiles, and general damage—without needing to sacrifice inventory space or armor slots.
