Create Fully Protected Armor (All Four Protection Types)

Planning Your Build

Decide which armor piece will receive all four protection enchantments. A chestplate is a popular choice since it covers the largest area, but any piece works. You'll need to gather or create four separate armor pieces, each with one different protection enchantment.

Step-by-Step Assembly

1. Obtain or enchant four identical armor pieces, each with Protection, Blast Protection, Fire Protection, or Projectile Protection

2. Use an anvil to merge the first two pieces together

3. Take the result and merge it with the third piece

4. Merge that result with the fourth piece

5. Your final armor piece now has all four protection types active

Wearing Your Armor

Equip the fully-protected piece in its corresponding slot. You now have comprehensive damage reduction against:

  • General damage (Protection)
  • Explosions (Blast Protection)
  • Fire and lava (Fire Protection)
  • Arrows and other projectiles (Projectile Protection)

This creates the ultimate defensive setup for a single armor slot, though you can repeat this process for multiple pieces to protect your entire body.
