How to Let Colonists Use AE2 Terminals and Grid Access
The Grid for Colonist and Terminal Blocks
The Grid for Colonist and ME Terminal for Colonist extend your AE2 network's reach to colony functions. The Grid block provides network access at a colony location, while the terminal gives an interface colonists and you can interact with for pulling and viewing items.
Connecting Them
1. Place the Grid for Colonist near the huts or area that needs network access.
2. Run AE2 cable from your main network to the grid block.
3. Ensure the block is powered and has a free channel.
4. Place an ME Terminal for Colonist adjacent to or on the same network segment if you want a direct interface there.
What This Enables
With these blocks in place, colony storage and crafting can draw from the same item pool your ME system manages. This means items your colonists produce can flow into network storage, and materials you have in ME drives become available to colony requests, depending on your configuration.
Troubleshooting
- No channel: add more channels via your controller setup or use a dense cable.
- Block not registering: confirm it sits inside colony borders.
- Items missing: check that Common Network Storage is linked and the warehouse hut is staffed.
Set these up once and your colony and ME network operate as one system.
