How to Read the Improved /help <command> Output
What the Detail View Shows
Typing /help <command> in vanilla Minecraft often gives a terse or awkwardly formatted line. With Compact Help Command installed, the same query returns a cleaner layout: the command name, its subcommands, and usage information presented with your configured colors so each part is visually distinct.
Reading Commands and Subcommands
The top-level command appears in the color set by commandColour, while its subcommands use subcommandColour. This separation lets you instantly tell which part is the base command and which are the options hanging off it. Scan the subcommand list to find the specific action you need, then type the full command with that subcommand.
Practical Tips
If the output is cut off or hard to read, increase your chat height in Minecraft's chat settings, or reduce amountCommandsPerPage so fewer entries compete for space. Remember that /help <command> only works for commands you actually have permission to see — operator-only commands will not appear for regular players. When a command has many subcommands, the color coding is what keeps the list legible, so make sure your two color choices are clearly different from each other and from the default chat text color.
