How to Change the Number of Commands Shown Per Page in Compact Help Command

Finding the Config File

Compact Help Command stores its settings in a config file inside your Minecraft instance's config folder. Look for a file named after the mod (typically compacthelpcommand or similar). Open it with any plain text editor — Notepad, VS Code, or similar. Inside you will find a key called amountCommandsPerPage. This controls how many commands appear on each page of the /help output.

Editing the Value

The default is 8, and the mod accepts values from 1 up to 50. Change the number to whatever suits your screen and playstyle. A smaller number (like 5) keeps each page short and scannable; a larger number (like 20) means fewer page flips when browsing a heavily modded pack. Save the file after editing.

Applying the Change

Restart Minecraft (or run /reload if the mod supports live config reloading) so the new value takes effect. Then type /help in chat. You should see the page size reflect your new setting. If nothing changed, double-check you edited the right config file and that the value is a whole number within the allowed range — values outside 1–50 may be ignored or clamped. Once set, use /help <page> to jump between pages and confirm the layout feels right.
