Enable Colored Lighting with Your Shader Pack

What Colorwheel Patcher Does

Colorwheel Patcher automatically modifies your shader files when you launch the game, enabling colored lighting support without manual code editing. This means dynamic lights from torches, lava, and other light sources will cast colored shadows and reflections instead of plain white light.

Getting Started

1. Ensure both Colorwheel and Colorwheel Patcher mods are installed in your mods folder

2. Add a supported shader pack (BSL, Bliss, Complementary, Euphoria Patches, Photon, or Rethinking Voxels) to your shader folder

3. Launch the game normally — the patcher runs automatically during startup

4. Open Video Settings and look for your shader name with a "+ Clrwl" label at the end

5. Select the patched shader version

6. Apply and enjoy colored lighting

Verifying the Patch Worked

Place a colored light source like a redstone lamp or glowing block near a surface. You should see the light cast in that block's color rather than white. If you see plain white lighting, the patch may not have applied — try restarting the game or checking that your shader pack is in the supported list.
