Write Long Custom Descriptions Without Character Limits

Removing the Typing Limit

Normally, anvils restrict item names to 50 characters. This mod removes that limit entirely, letting you write detailed descriptions and long custom names for your items.

Creating Extended Names and Lore

1. Place your item in an anvil

2. Type as much text as you want in the rename field—there is no character restriction

3. Use the lore separator (|) to create multiple lines if needed

4. Combine with color codes and text styles for formatting

5. Confirm the rename

Example: Legendary Sword of the Ancient Kings | Forged in the fires of the volcano | Grants the wielder strength and courage | Use with honor

This freedom lets you document complex item properties, add detailed backstories to roleplay gear, or create elaborate quest item descriptions. You can write as much flavor text as you want without worrying about hitting a character cap. This is especially valuable for servers, adventure maps, or personal projects where storytelling matters.
