Use Hex Color Codes for Precise Item Name Colors

Applying Exact Colors

Instead of using basic color codes, you can specify exact colors using hexadecimal color codes. This gives you precise control over the shade of your item names.

How to Apply Hex Colors

1. Open an anvil and place your item inside

2. In the rename field, type the hex code format: &#RRGGBB (replace RRGGBB with your hex color)

3. Type your item name immediately after the code

4. Confirm the rename

Example: &#FF5733Crimson Blade applies a specific red-orange shade to your item name.

You can use multiple hex codes in one name by placing them before different words. Each code affects the text that follows it until another code appears. This system works on both the main item name and any lore lines you add with separators.

Hex codes let you match your item colors to specific themes, coordinate with your base aesthetic, or create gradient-like effects by alternating shades across words.
