Quickly Identifying Best Gear During Loot Sorting
Scanning Enchantments Efficiently
When you collect multiple enchanted items from looting or trading, the color system lets you instantly compare gear quality without reading every enchantment name.
Sorting Workflow
Step 1: Open your inventory after collecting loot.
Step 2: Look at the tooltip colors when hovering over items. Items with more colors or higher-tier color groups (like multiple aqua enchantments on armor) are typically better-equipped.
Step 3: Group items by color category:
- Gather all red-highlighted swords together
- Collect aqua armor pieces
- Stack light purple tools
Step 4: Within each color group, compare enchantment depth. More enchantments (more colored lines) usually means better gear.
Step 5: Discard or store duplicates with fewer or weaker enchantments.
This method is especially useful after dungeon raids, fishing sessions, or trading with villagers. The color-coding eliminates the need to read every single enchantment name, letting you make gear decisions in seconds rather than minutes. You can then organize your storage chest by color for easy future reference.
