How to Improve Performance by Disabling Client-Side Collision Checks

Understand What Gets Skipped

Collision Fix removes collision checks that normally run on your client. The server still tracks real collisions, so you will not clip through the world or fall through blocks. What you lose is the constant client-side bumping against players and entities, which is exactly what costs frames in crowded areas.

Apply the Performance Settings

1. Open the mod config and enable the main collision removal option.

2. If available, disable pushing from all entity categories you do not care about, since each active push check adds work.

3. Keep the per-server list empty if you want the effect everywhere, or restrict it as described in the per-server guide.

4. Save and reload your world.

Confirm the Gain

Stand in a busy area such as a mob farm, a crowded server spawn, or a redstone-heavy base and compare your framerate before and after. The biggest improvements show up when many entities are packed together, because those are the situations with the most collision checks to skip. If you notice you can no longer feel mobs bumping you and your frames are steadier, the mod is doing its job. Remember the server still enforces collisions, so other players may still appear to push you on their end.
