Collision Fix Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I open the Collision Fix settings?
Open the mod's config screen from the Mods list in-game or edit its config file directly. The main options are the entity push toggle and the per-server enable list.
How do I stop mobs from pushing me around?
Turn off entity pushing in the config so client-side collision checks against mobs are skipped. You can also whitelist only the entities you still want to be pushed by.
Can I make Collision Fix work on only one server?
Yes, add that server to the mod's server list in the config. When the list is used, the mod only applies its changes while you're connected to those servers.
Does Collision Fix work on multiplayer servers?
It runs client-side, so it changes how your game handles collisions without the server needing the mod. Server-side anti-cheat or movement checks may still flag unusual movement.
Why does Collision Fix make my movement feel weird?
Disabling client-side collision checks means your client no longer predicts pushes and bumps the same way, so movement can feel off. Re-enable specific entity types or turn the mod off for that server to compare.
Collision Fix isn't doing anything, what's wrong?
Check that the mod is enabled for your current server and that the relevant entity or push option is actually toggled on. If the server list is active and your server isn't in it, the mod stays inactive.
Does Collision Fix improve FPS or just make the game feel smoother?
It reduces client-side collision work, which mainly helps when many entities or fast movement are involved. Gains vary by setup, so test with the mod on and off in the same situation.
Will Collision Fix break other mods?
Mods that rely on client-side collision or push behavior, such as some combat or movement mods, may behave differently. If something breaks, disable the mod for that server or turn off entity pushing.
Can I choose which entities are allowed to push me?
Yes, the config lets you select which entity types can still push you. Everything not selected has its client-side push collision skipped.
Do I need Collision Fix on the server too?
No, it's a client-side mod and works without being installed on the server. Just be aware that server-side movement validation can still reject positions your client predicts.
