Troubleshoot Quick Battles Not Working

Verify Your Lead Pokémon's Moveset

The mod warns if your lead team member only knows status moves. Open your team menu and confirm your lead has at least one damaging move available. Status-only Pokémon cannot deal damage in quick battles, so swap to a different team member.

Check Your Target

Ensure you're looking directly at a wild Pokémon. The overlay only appears when a valid target is in your line of sight. The mod filters out owned companions, Pokémon already in battles, and those being caught—if your target disappears from the overlay, it may be one of these excluded types.

Confirm Keybind is Active

Press your quick battle key (default G or Y) while targeting a wild Pokémon. If nothing happens, check your configuration to ensure the keybind hasn't been accidentally changed or disabled.

If you recently finished a battle, the cooldown timer may still be running. The overlay updates as the cooldown resets.

Test with a Different Pokémon

Try quick battling a different wild species to isolate the problem. If it works with one target but not another, the issue may be type matchup or your team's stats against that specific opponent.
