Stop Before Attacking

If you see the gold shiny indicator, do not press your quick battle key. Instead, switch to a different target or move away from the shiny Pokémon.

Use Manual Battles for Shinies

For shiny encounters, avoid the quick battle feature entirely. Initiate a traditional battle by interacting with the wild Pokémon normally. This gives you full control over your moves, letting you weaken the shiny safely with non-damaging moves like Thunder Wave or Leech Seed before attempting to catch it.

Plan Your Farming Routes

If you're grinding experience in an area known for shinies, stay alert. The overlay updates in real-time as you look at different targets, so scan the environment before committing to a quick battle. The mod's filtering system already removes owned companions and Pokémon in active battles, so you only need to watch for the gold warning to stay safe.
