Choose the Right Catch Rate Tier for Your Needs

Understand Catch Rate Multipliers

Each ball tier uses a different core material and offers a different catch multiplier. Poké Balls (copper) have a 1× multiplier—the baseline. Great Balls (iron) offer 1.5×, Ultra Balls (gold) reach 2×, Giga Balls (diamond) multiply by 3×, and Zeta Balls (netherite ingot) multiply by 5×. Master Balls (nether star) guarantee a catch regardless of the Pokémon's stats.

Match Tier to Your Situation

Use lower tiers for common or weakened Pokémon to save resources. Reserve higher tiers for legendaries, shiny encounters, or Pokémon with high catch resistance. Master Balls are rare and should be saved for your most important catches.

Craft Multiple Tiers

Since apricorn colors are independent of catch rate, you can create matching ball sets across different tiers. Craft a Great Ball and an Ultra Ball in identical colors so your team looks cohesive while you use the appropriate tier for each encounter.
