Finding Gyms

Gyms are located in major towns throughout both regions and match their original game locations exactly. Each gym specializes in a specific Pokémon type—check which type before entering so you can prepare your team accordingly.

Preparing for Battle

Before entering a gym, heal your team at the Poké Center and stock up on healing items from the town shop. Bring Pokémon that have type advantages against the gym leader's specialty. For example, water-type Pokémon are strong against fire-type gyms.

Gym Battles

Inside each gym, you'll face trainers guarding the path to the leader. Defeat them to progress deeper. The gym leader waits at the end with a full team of type-specialized Pokémon. Win this final battle to earn a badge.

Collecting Badges

Badges prove your strength and are essential for progressing through the story. Collect all eight badges from each region to unlock access to later areas and the ultimate challenges ahead.
