How to Trade Pokémon With Another Player Using /poketrade
Trading is the fastest way to swap Pokémon with a friend without dropping them on the ground or using a chest. The /poketrade <player> command opens a shared trade window that both of you can see and edit at the same time.
Starting the trade
Stand near the player you want to trade with and run /poketrade <player>, replacing <player> with their exact in-game name. A trade window opens on both of your screens. If nothing happens, check that the name is spelled correctly and that the other player is online.
Completing the trade
1. Each side places the Pokémon they want to offer into their side of the window.
2. Both players must confirm the offer before anything is exchanged.
3. Once both sides accept, the Pokémon swap instantly and appear in the receiving player's party or PC.
If you change your mind, back out before confirming — nothing is lost until both players lock in. This is the safest way to move a Pokémon between accounts, since neither player has to release or drop anything.
Tips
- Make sure you both have room in your party or PC before trading.
- Use
/pokeseeto double-check the Pokémon you're about to give away. - If the window closes unexpectedly, just run the command again to restart.
