How to Make Cobblemon Ores Glow in the Dark
Install the Right Lighting Mod First
The glowing effect in this resource pack is not baked into the textures themselves — it relies on an external mod to read the emissive data. If you skip this step, the ores will look completely normal and you will think the pack is broken.
- On Fabric, install
Continuity. It handles the emissive rendering that the pack depends on. - On Forge, install Optifine. Without it, the emissive layer is ignored.
Make sure the lighting mod matches your Minecraft version, otherwise the pack will load but the glow will not appear.
Enable the Pack in the Correct Order
1. Open Options, then Resource Packs.
2. Move
Cobblemon Emissive Ores to the right-hand (active) column.
3. Place it above any other Cobblemon-related packs so its ore textures take priority.
4. Click Done and let the game reload.
Verify the Glow Works
Walk into any dark cave or dig down until light levels drop. Look at a
Cobblemon ore block — it should emit its own light instead of being a flat dark shape. If nothing glows, double-check that
Continuity or Optifine is actually loaded on the mod list, not just downloaded.
