Fixing Cobblemon Ores That Are Not Glowing
Check the Obvious Causes First
If your ores look flat and dark, work through these in order before assuming the pack is broken:
- Is the pack actually enabled? Open Resource Packs and confirm it sits in the active column, not the available list.
- Is the required lighting mod loaded?
Continuity on Fabric, Optifine on Forge. A downloaded-but-disabled mod does nothing. - Is another pack overriding it? A different
Cobblemon texture pack placed above this one will replace the ore textures and remove the glow. Drag the emissive pack to the top.
Check Your Video Settings
Some graphics settings interfere with emissive rendering. Try the following:
1. Set graphics to Fancy rather than Fast.
2. Make sure smooth lighting is on.
3. If you use shaders, test with shaders off first — some shader packs handle emissive textures differently and can wash out or hide the glow.
Confirm It Is Working
Go to a genuinely dark area. If the ore still does not emit light after all of the above, the lighting mod version likely does not match your game version. Swap to a build of
Continuity or Optifine made for your exact Minecraft version and reload the pack.
