How to Use 3D Poké Rods Without Optifine
This pack is built to work with vanilla rendering, so you do not need Optifine, Sodium, or any shader mod to see the 3D shapes. If you installed a graphics mod expecting it to be required, you can safely leave it out.
Confirm You Are Not Depending on Optifine
1. Launch the game with only the Cobblemon mod and this resource pack enabled.
2. Hold a rod and check first-person view.
3. If the 3D shape appears, you are done. No extra graphics mod is needed.
What If You Already Use Optifine
Optifine is not required, but it generally will not break the pack either. If you do run it and the rod looks wrong, temporarily disable Optifine's custom item models or entity features to see if that restores the correct shape. Some Optifine settings override vanilla item rendering.
Performance Note
Because the models are simple blocky shapes rather than high-poly meshes, they add negligible load. You can keep your existing performance mods. The only requirement is the Cobblemon mod itself, since the pack replaces models that the mod provides. Without the mod, the pack has nothing to act on.
