How to Make Your Poké Rod Appear as a 3D Model in Cobblemon

If your rod still looks like a flat sprite after adding the resource pack, the game is not loading the pack above the base mod assets. Resource packs only override files when they sit higher in the load order.

Check the Pack Order

1. Open Options, then Resource Packs.

2. Move the 3D Poke Rods pack to the top of the Selected list, above any other Cobblemon-related packs.

3. Apply and reload. If another pack also edits rod models, the one on top wins.

Confirm the Mod Is Present

This pack only swaps models that the Cobblemon mod already defines. Without the mod installed, there is nothing for the pack to replace, so rods will not exist at all. Verify the mod shows in your mods list before troubleshooting the pack.

Reload Instead of Restarting

After reordering, press F3+T to reload resources. This is faster than quitting and re-entering, and it forces the game to re-read the model files. If the rod is still flat, remove every other resource pack temporarily to rule out a conflict, then re-add them one at a time. The 3D shape should appear the moment the pack is active and the mod is loaded.
