How to Fix a Rod That Looks Flat or Invisible After Installing the Pack
A rod that renders flat, purple-and-black, or not at all usually points to a missing model file or a load-order problem rather than a broken pack.
Diagnose the Symptom
- Flat sprite: the pack is not active or is being overridden by another pack.
- Missing texture (black and purple): the model loaded but a texture reference failed, often from a conflicting pack.
- Invisible item: the model file is present but the mod that defines the rod is absent or outdated relative to the pack.
Fix the Load Order
1. Go to Options, Resource Packs.
2. Drag the 3D Poke Rods pack above every other Cobblemon pack.
3. Apply, then press F3+T to reload.
Isolate Conflicts
Disable all other resource packs and test with only this one enabled. If the rod renders correctly, re-enable your other packs one at a time until the rod breaks again. The last pack you added before the break is the conflict. Keep the 3D rod pack above it, or remove the conflicting pack. Do not edit model files by hand unless you are comfortable restoring them.
