Add Idle Animations to Stationary Pokémon

How Idle Animations Activate

Idle animations make Pokémon look alive when they're standing still instead of freezing in place. Cobble Motion automatically applies idle animations to over 100 creatures—they activate whenever your Pokémon aren't moving or in battle.

You don't need to enable idle animations manually; they're part of the pack's core functionality and work as soon as the pack is properly installed.

Verify Idle Animations Are Working

1. Place your Pokémon in the world using a Poké Ball or have them follow you

2. Stop moving and let them stand still for a few seconds

3. Watch for subtle movements like breathing, tail swaying, or stance shifts

4. Popular creatures like Ninetales, Eevee, and Decidueye have noticeable idle animations

Troubleshoot Missing Idle Animations

If a Pokémon appears frozen:

  • Check that the pack is enabled in both resource and data pack folders
  • Confirm the creature is on Cobble Motion's supported list (over 100 species are covered)
  • Some creatures may not have idle animations yet; these receive updates over time
  • Reload your world to refresh animation data

Idle animations are purely visual and don't affect gameplay, stats, or Pokémon behavior.
