Configure Coal Explosion Settings for Your World

Access the Config File

The Coal Explosion Mod stores all adjustable settings in a configuration file. Locate it in your mod's config folder and open it with a text editor.

Adjust Explosion Range

The Range setting controls how far the explosion reaches from the coal block. The default is 5.0 blocks. Increase this value to make explosions more dangerous across a wider area, or decrease it to make them more localized and less threatening.

Control Explosion Damage

The Strength setting determines how much damage explosions inflict. Lower values reduce danger to the player; higher values make coal mining genuinely hazardous.

Enable or Disable Fire

Toggle the causeFire option to decide whether exploding coal blocks start fires. Set it to true to add fire spread risk, or false for explosions without fire damage.

Customize Trigger Items

The Sparks list specifies which items cause explosions on contact. By default, iron and gold pickaxes are included. Add or remove items from this list to change which tools are dangerous around coal.
