Locate Hidden Underground Bases Using Chunk Scanning

Opening the Scanner

Access the Base Hunting category from the main menu. Enable the Chunk Scanner module to begin analyzing the terrain around you.

Interpreting Scan Results

The scanner highlights suspicious chunks by detecting:

  • Storage blocks (chests, barrels, shulkers) that indicate player stashes
  • Amethyst clusters that suggest recent mining activity
  • Unusual light levels in caves, revealing hidden farms or bases
  • Redstone components that hint at contraptions

Scanned chunks appear marked on your screen. Focus on clusters of multiple indicators—a single chest might be abandoned, but several storage blocks in one area suggest an active base.

Narrowing Your Search

Once you've identified a promising chunk, approach it cautiously. Use the X-ray rendering features to see through stone and observe the base layout before engaging. Note the coordinates of storage blocks and key structures for later reference.

Tips

Scan during off-peak hours when fewer players are online. Bases near spawn tend to be older; search the outer regions for active operations. Always verify findings by visual inspection before committing resources to a raid.
