Fix Clumps Mod not seeming to work on your world or server

If your XP orbs still swarm you or your entity count stays high, run through these checks.

Check the basics

1. Confirm the mod appears in the mod list on the main menu. Since it adds no items or blocks, the list is the only place you'll see it.

2. On a multiplayer server, make sure the mod is installed on the server. Orb merging happens server-side, so it must be there to have an effect.

3. Restart the game or server after adding the mod. Orbs already in the world may not merge retroactively, so test with newly spawned ones.

Test properly

• Spawn many orbs in one small spot, for example by killing a group of mobs together. A single orb or widely scattered orbs won't show any merging.
• Stand still where the orbs gather and touch them. Pickup should be immediate.

If it still looks wrong

• Look for other mods that change XP orb behavior, such as other XP or performance mods. Remove them temporarily to see whether one conflicts.
• Check for a Clumps config file in your config folder. If one exists, review its settings. Don't change values you don't understand, and keep a backup.
• Check the game log for errors mentioning the mod and see whether it loaded correctly.
