Discovering and Mining Unique Cave Biomes
Cave Biome Types
Cliff Under a Tree introduces three distinct cave biomes: Frozen Caves, Warm Caves, and Inferno. Each has unique characteristics affecting mining, navigation, and safety.
Finding Cave Biomes
Caves generate naturally throughout the Overworld at various depths. Frozen Caves appear in cold regions and high elevations, featuring ice and snow-covered stone. Warm Caves generate in temperate and hot biomes with different stone types and ambient conditions. Inferno caves form deep underground in volcanic or hot regions.
Mining and Survival Tips
Each cave biome presents different challenges:
- Frozen Caves: Watch for slippery ice and reduced visibility. Bring torches to melt ice if needed
- Warm Caves: Expect different ore distributions and possibly lava flows
- Inferno: Prepare for extreme heat, lava hazards, and dangerous terrain. Bring water and fire-resistant gear
Always mark your path with torches or blocks to avoid getting lost. Cave biomes may contain unique stone types and ore concentrations, making them valuable mining destinations.
