How to Make Note Block Music Play Instantly on a High-Ping Server

The Problem With Server Round-Trips

Every note block you trigger normally waits for a round trip to the server before you hear anything. On a high-ping server that delay is obvious and ruins timing for fast songs. This mod plays the sound locally the moment you click, so your ears hear it immediately regardless of ping.

Getting the Best Result

1. Play your song the same way you always would — clicking note blocks directly, or triggering them via redstone. The mod intercepts the click locally, so no special action is needed.

2. For redstone-driven songs, remember that the redstone itself still runs on the server. The mod removes the *audio* delay, not the redstone tick delay. If your machine is laggy server-side, notes will still fire late; the mod just makes each note audible the instant it fires.

3. If you are building a song for other players to hear, keep in mind they need the mod too for the same instant playback. Players without it hear the normal server-delayed version.

4. Use the mod while tuning pitch: clicking repeatedly to find the right note is far less frustrating when each click responds instantly.

5. If timing still feels off, check whether your own client is lagging (low FPS, chunk loading) rather than the network — the mod cannot fix client-side stutter.
