How to Combine This Mod With Shaders and Other Visual Mods
Why Conflicts Happen
Shader packs and some performance mods draw their own fog for water, lava, and powder snow. If a shader's fog is enabled, it can override the cleared view this mod provides, and you will still see the vanilla-style haze.
Checking and Fixing the Overlap
1. Load into a world and submerge in water. If you still see fog, the conflict is almost certainly a shader or fog-related setting, not this mod.
2. Open your shader pack's settings and look for options named things like "Underwater Fog," "Lava Fog," "Atmospheric Fog," or "Volumetric Fog." Disable the ones that apply to liquids.
3. If your shader menu has a general fog toggle, turn it off and re-test in each of the three environments (water, lava, powder snow) one at a time.
4. If you use a separate fog-removal or clear-vision mod, disable one of the two — running both is redundant and can cause flickering.
Verifying It Works
- Test in creative mode first so you can freely enter lava and powder snow without dying.
- Check each environment separately, since a shader may only override one of them.
General Advice
Keep your visual mod list short. The fewer mods touching fog, the easier it is to tell which one is responsible when something looks wrong.
