Finding Netherite Ore in Lava Lakes

Locate Ancient Debris Safely

With Clear Lava enabled, you can spot Ancient Debris through thick lava without taking damage or using water. Ancient Debris appears as small, dark blocks mixed into the terrain.

Steps:

1. Travel to Y-level 8–22 in the Nether where Ancient Debris spawns most frequently

2. Look for lava lakes and oceans—Ancient Debris often generates near or inside them

3. Scan through the transparent lava visually; the ore stands out against the bright surroundings

4. Mark promising locations with torches or blocks on the surface above

5. Return with proper mining tools (Diamond or Netherite pickaxe) and fire resistance potions for safety

Avoid Hidden Dangers

While the pack lets you see through lava, you still take damage from contact. Use the clear view to plan your route around lava pockets before diving in. Bring blocks to create safe platforms or bridges across lava lakes, using your improved visibility to spot the safest path.

Fire resistance potions remain essential—use them as backup when you must enter lava directly to retrieve ore or items.
