What Changes Under Lava

Normally, being submerged in lava fills your screen with a thick orange overlay that makes it nearly impossible to see anything. With this pack active, that overlay is removed, so you can see the surrounding stone, ore veins, and terrain while your camera is inside lava. This is purely a visual change; lava still deals damage and still sets you on fire.

Planning a Safe Descent

Because lava damage is unchanged, treat the improved visibility as a scouting tool rather than a license to swim freely. Use a Fire Resistance effect before entering, and carry a bucket of water or a potion to extinguish yourself on exit. With the overlay gone you can spot the floor of a lava lake and judge where the drop ends.

Finding Ores and Caverns Through Lava

The clearest benefit is spotting exposed ore and cave openings that sit behind or beneath a lava surface. Move slowly along the edge and look through the fluid for diamond, ancient debris, or the mouth of a cavern. Mark anything interesting with a torch or block on solid ground so you can return to it after you leave the lava.
