Making Water and Lava Fully Clear Without Removing the Overlay

Understanding What This Pack Actually Changes

This pack targets the screen overlay that appears when your camera is inside a water or lava block. It does not change the color or transparency of the fluid blocks themselves as seen from outside. If you are standing on shore and the water still looks blue and opaque, that is expected behavior, not a broken pack.

Checking Your Other Packs

If the overlay is still present while submerged, another resource pack is likely overriding the relevant textures. Open Options > Resource Packs and move this pack to the very top of the Selected list. Packs higher in the list win conflicts, so placing it first ensures its overlay textures take priority.

When the Overlay Persists

Some situations can keep a tinted view even with the pack active. Being inside a single water source block versus a flowing stream can look different, and certain biomes apply their own fog color that is separate from the fluid overlay. If you still see a haze, try moving to a different body of water to confirm whether the pack is working and the remaining tint comes from biome fog rather than the fluid overlay.
