Clear Glass Connected Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Do I need Optifine or Continuity for this pack to work?
Yes, you need either Optifine or the Continuity mod installed for the glass blocks to connect across multiple blocks and remove the visible seams. Without one of these mods, the glass will still look clearer than vanilla, but the connected texture effect won't work.
Why does my glass still have white lines or borders showing?
Make sure Optifine or Continuity is actually enabled and running. If it is, try regenerating your resource pack cache by restarting Minecraft, or check that you're using glass blocks and panes (not other transparent blocks). Some older mod versions may have compatibility issues.
Can I use this pack with stained glass?
Yes, the pack includes clear versions of all stained glass colors while maintaining the connected texture effect. The stained glass will appear transparent without the thick borders, giving you colored windows that still blend seamlessly.
Does this pack work with modded glass blocks?
The pack primarily covers vanilla glass and stained glass blocks. Modded glass from other mods may not be affected unless the mod author has added connected texture support or the pack has been updated to include them.
How do I make a large window without visible seams?
Place multiple glass blocks or panes next to each other in any shape you want. As long as Optifine or Continuity is running, the connected textures will automatically blend them together into one seamless surface.
Will this pack affect my FPS or performance?
The pack itself is lightweight, but connected textures do require a small amount of extra processing from Optifine or Continuity. Most players won't notice a performance difference, especially on modern hardware.
Can I use this pack with other resource packs?
Yes, you can layer this pack with others, but load order matters. Place Clear Glass Connected higher in your resource pack list if you want its textures to take priority over conflicting glass textures from other packs.
Why do glass panes look different from glass blocks?
Glass panes are thinner and have a different shape than full blocks, so they may appear slightly different visually even with connected textures. Both are still clear and seamless, just with different proportions.
Does this work with Sodium or other performance mods?
This pack requires Optifine or Continuity for connected textures, so it won't work with Sodium alone. You can use Continuity alongside Sodium if you want better performance while keeping the connected glass effect.
How do I uninstall or remove this pack?
Delete the Clear Glass Connected resource pack folder from your resource packs directory, then restart Minecraft. Your glass will revert to vanilla appearance.
