Using CleanView for Cleaner PvP and Recording Footage

Competitive players and content creators get the most out of CleanView because it removes visual noise that sits directly in the center of the screen. Here is how to set it up for those use cases.

Set Up Before You Fight or Record

1. Bind the CleanView toggle key under Controls → Miscellaneous so you can flip it mid-session.

2. Leave CleanView on during PvP. The potion swirl around your own character no longer blocks your crosshair or the silhouette of an opponent, which matters most when you are strafing and the particles trail across your view.

3. If you are recording, keep it on for the whole session so your footage is consistent. A sudden reappearance of particles mid-clip looks like an editing mistake.

Why It Helps

In a fight, every pixel near the center of your screen is information. Potion particles from your own buffs — speed, strength, regeneration — add moving color that competes with the target you are tracking. Removing them sharpens your aim and reduces eye strain over long sessions.

Keep It Fair

CleanView is client-side and only affects rendering, so it does not change hitboxes, reach, or any combat value. It is a visual quality-of-life change, not an advantage in game mechanics. Check your server's rules on client-side visual mods before using it in ranked or tournament play, and note that spectators watching your stream see the same clean view you do.
