Fixing CleanView Not Working or Particles Still Showing
If you installed CleanView expecting a clean screen but still see potion swirls, the cause is almost always one of a few simple things. Work through these checks before assuming the mod is broken.
Check the Toggle State
CleanView is on by default, but it is easy to hit the toggle key by accident once you have bound it. Press your CleanView key once and watch your character's particles. If they vanish, you had simply toggled it off earlier. If you never bound a key, the mod should still be active — but binding one lets you verify its state at a glance.
Confirm What You Are Actually Seeing
CleanView only hides particles tied to potion effects on the camera entity. If the particles you are trying to remove come from something else — a modded effect that renders its own overlay, a particle from a block or mob, or a shader pack that draws its own effect visuals — CleanView will not touch them. Test by drinking a plain vanilla potion and watching your own character: if those swirls disappear, the mod is working and the remaining particles have a different source.
Mod Conflicts and Load Order
Other client-side visual mods that rewrite particle rendering can override CleanView. If a particle-altering mod is present, try disabling it temporarily to isolate the conflict. Also make sure CleanView is actually loaded for the profile you launched — a mod placed in the wrong instance folder will silently do nothing.
