Building Underwater Bases and Structures
Planning Your Underwater Build
Clear water makes it much easier to visualize and construct underwater bases. You can see exactly where blocks will sit and how your structure looks before committing resources.
Construction Tips
1. Survey the area — Swim around and examine the terrain from above and below to find a good building spot
2. Mark your boundaries — Use temporary blocks or torches to outline where your base will go
3. Check for obstacles — The clear view reveals hidden rocks, sand, and gravel that might interfere with your build
4. Plan lighting — See exactly where light sources will reach and how they interact with the water
5. Build incrementally — The clear water lets you see your progress and adjust as you go
The resource pack's wave effects also help you gauge water surface height, which is useful for planning air pockets and entrance tunnels. You can spot potential problems with water flow before they become expensive mistakes.
