Does this pack work with shaders?
Clean Water Resource Pack is designed to work alongside shader mods, though the visual effect may overlap or interact depending on which shader you use. Test both together in a small world first to see if you prefer the combination or want to use one or the other.
Why can't I see through water in the Nether?
This pack only modifies water in the Overworld (oceans, rivers, and lakes). Nether lava and water behave differently and are not affected by this resource pack.
Does clear water affect performance?
The pack is lightweight since it only changes textures and adds simple wave animations. Most players see no noticeable performance drop, but very old computers or those running many mods may experience minor changes.
Can I use this with other water texture packs?
Only one resource pack can modify water textures at a time. If you load multiple packs, whichever is higher in your resource pack list will take priority—place Clean Water above other texture packs if you want it to apply.
Does the pack change water physics or swimming?
No, this is a visual-only pack. Water physics, swimming speed, and all gameplay mechanics remain exactly the same—only the appearance changes.
How do I turn off the wave animation?
The wave effect is built into the pack's textures and cannot be toggled on or off without editing the pack files yourself. If you want still water, you'll need to use a different water resource pack.
Will this work in multiplayer servers?
Yes, resource packs are client-side only, so you can use Clean Water on any server without the server needing to install or approve it.
Does clear water work in all biomes?
The pack applies to all water in the Overworld, including oceans, rivers, lakes, and swamps. Water color variations from biomes may still affect visibility slightly, but the water will be much clearer than vanilla.
Can I see underwater mobs better with this pack?
Yes, the clear water makes fish, squids, and other aquatic mobs much easier to spot from the surface or while swimming, which is especially useful for locating mobs to farm.
Does this pack affect water in player-made structures?
No, the pack only changes the appearance of natural water blocks. Water in your builds, farms, and structures will look the same as the natural water around them.
