What does the Clavis Mod do?

Clavis makes every loot chest locked, so you open it by completing a skill-based mini-game instead of just clicking. Better performance in the mini-game gives you more loot, up to nearly double for a perfect result.

Clavis registers a

How do I know how hard a locked chest is?

A floating lock symbol appears above locked chests, and its outline color shows the difficulty. The smiley in the mini-game interface uses the same color coding.

How many difficulty levels do locks have?

There are 3 main difficulty levels. Harder locks hold better treasure but have faster speed, more tasks, and extra rules.

How do I open a locked chest in Clavis?

Find a locked chest with a floating lock symbol above it, then interact with the chest to start the mini-game. Complete the tasks on screen quickly and accurately to get the best items.

Do I get more loot for doing well in the mini-game?

Yes. The better you perform, the richer your reward, up to nearly double the loot for a perfect result.

Does Clavis slow down early-game progression?

Yes. Because you have to earn high-tier items instead of just picking them up, early-game progression is slowed. Modpack developers can also use it to keep dungeon loot from being overpowered early on.

Does Clavis add new mobs?

No. The facts only mention a
