Fix the classic glint not showing when using multiple resource packs

Why another pack can hide the glint

When two packs change the same texture, Minecraft uses the one higher in the Selected list. If you run a texture pack that also includes its own glint, it can override this one. Classic Glint only touches the glint, so it works best when it sits above anything that also edits that effect.

Steps

1. Open Options → Resource Packs.

2. In the *Selected* list, look at where Classic Glint Resource Pack sits.

3. Move it above your main texture pack by clicking it and using the arrows, or by dragging it up.

4.

5. Hold an enchanted item to compare.

If it still looks wrong

  • Put Classic Glint at the very top of the list as a test. If the glint returns, a pack above it was overriding the effect.
  • Remember that the pack only replaces the glint. Your other pack should still supply item models and textures, so keeping both enabled is fine.
  • If your texture pack has a version with the glint removed, or an option to disable its own glint, use that instead of reordering.
