Compare the classic glint with the default glint side by side

Set up a quick test

If you want to see how much the pack changes the look, build a small comparison in a creative world.

1. Open a Creative world, or use any world where you have enchanted gear.

2. Put a few enchanted items in your hotbar: a sword, a piece of armor, and an enchanted book. Different item types show the glint differently.

3. Stand somewhere with mixed lighting, such as indoors and outdoors.

Toggle and compare

1. With the pack off, look at the items in your hand, your inventory, and on your character in third person (F5). Also drop one on the ground.

2. Open Options → Resource Packs, move Classic Glint to *Selected*, and click Done.

3. Look at the same items again in the same spots.

You should notice the shimmer is more pronounced on held items, inventory slots, worn armor, and dropped items. Item shapes and textures stay the same, because the pack changes only the glint.

If you're taking screenshots for comparison, keep the same lighting and camera angle for both so the difference is easy to see.
