How to craft an enchanted golden apple with the classic recipe

With this mod installed, you can make an enchanted golden apple at a crafting table instead of hunting for treasure chests.

What you need

• 1 apple
• 8 blocks of gold (not gold ingots, and not raw gold blocks)
• A crafting table, since the recipe needs the 3x3 grid

Steps

1. Open the crafting table.

2. Put the apple in the centre slot.

3. Fill the other eight slots with blocks of gold, so they form a ring around the apple. This is the classic layout from older versions of the game.

4. Take the enchanted golden apple from the result slot. Shift-click it to send it straight to your inventory.

Tips

• A plain apple is required. A regular golden apple will not work as the centre ingredient.
• If the result slot stays empty, check that every outer slot holds a full block of gold and that you haven't used a raw gold block or a gold ore block by mistake.
• Craft only when you have all the materials. The recipe uses a lot of gold, so it is easy to waste a block by misplacing it. Check the grid before you take the result.
