Class Enhancement Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Where do I find the config file to create classes?
Open your game folder, then navigate to the config directory and look for the file named class_enhancement.toml. This is where you'll set up all your custom classes and their properties.
How do I give a class specific starting items?
In the class_enhancement.toml file, find the [custom_classes] section for your class and use the item configuration fields to assign items to the main hand, off-hand, and armor slots. Use the exact Minecraft item names (like minecraft:diamond_sword) and specify the quantity.
Can I change a player's health or speed with this mod?
Yes, you can modify stats by adding attribute commands in your class configuration. For example, use `attribute %player% minecraft:generic.max_health base set` to change max health, or add a speed effect command to make players run faster.
What does %player% mean in the commands section?
The %player% placeholder automatically replaces itself with the actual player's name when they select a class. This lets you write one command that works for any player without editing it each time.
How do I make a class run commands automatically when selected?
Add your commands to the hidden commands section of that class in class_enhancement.toml, using the correct syntax without the forward slash at the start. The mod will execute all listed commands instantly when a player picks that class.
Can I change player size with this mod?
Yes, but only if you also have the Pehkui mod installed. Use the command `scale set %player% [number]` in your class configuration to set a custom size (for example, 1.5 for 150% scale).
Does Class Enhancement Mod work with other mods?
Yes, it's designed to work with other mods, especially the Difficulty Enhancement mod. You can also use commands from other mods in the automatic commands section if those mods support command integration.
How many custom classes can I create?
The mod provides up to 100 custom class slots that you can configure however you want. Each slot can have its own name, description, starting gear, stat changes, and automatic commands.
I saved my config file but the changes didn't appear in-game. What's wrong?
You need to restart your game or reload the world for the config file changes to take effect. The mod reads the configuration when you start the game, not while it's running.
Can I add colored text to my class descriptions?
Yes, the mod supports colored text formatting in class descriptions. Check your class_enhancement.toml file for the text color configuration options available for that class.
