Set Up Impact and Hit Sounds

Understanding Hit Sounds

Hit impact sounds play when your weapon or tool connects with a target or block. These are separate from swing sounds and add crucial audio feedback to combat.

Configuring Hit Sounds

1. Press F12 to open the main configuration menu

2. Look for hit or impact sound options (typically labeled separately from swing sounds)

3. Select your weapon or tool category

4. Open the audio folder for hit sounds

5. Add your mono .ogg files — these should be shorter, punchy sounds that represent impact

Testing Your Sounds

  • Swing your configured weapon at mobs or blocks
  • Listen for both the swing sound and the impact sound playing in sequence
  • Adjust file volumes if one sound overpowers the other

Tips for Impact Audio

  • Use crisp, percussive sounds for melee weapons
  • Experiment with different pitches to match your swing sounds
  • Reload with F3 + T after making changes
