Clangor Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I open the Clangor config menu?
Press F12 to open the main configuration menu. From there you can browse item categories and access their audio folders.
What audio format does Clangor accept?
The mod accepts mono .ogg audio files. Stereo files may not work correctly, so convert your sounds to mono before adding them.
Do I need to restart Minecraft after adding new sounds?
No, press F3 + T in-game to reload textures and audio without restarting. Your new sounds will be available immediately.
Can I use sounds from modded weapons?
Yes, press V to open the mapping screen and assign modded weapons to existing sound groups. The mod recognizes modded gear automatically based on item categories and materials.
How do I share my custom sounds with other players?
Use the /clangor export command to generate a shareable resource pack zip file containing your entire sound setup. Other players can drop this into their resource packs folder.
Can I set different sounds for left-click and right-click?
Clangor assigns sounds to item actions like swings, hits, and uses. The mod handles these automatically—you select which sound plays for each action type in the configuration menu.
Does Clangor work with dual-wield combat mods?
Yes, the mod supports dual-wield swing sounds when running alongside combat mods. Both weapons will trigger their assigned sounds during simultaneous attacks.
Will Clangor sounds work in multiplayer?
Custom sounds are client-side only, so they play for you but not other players unless they also install your resource pack. The mod doesn't affect server gameplay.
Can I customize armor equipping and pickup sounds?
Yes, Clangor lets you override default vanilla sound events for armor equipping, shooting, blocking, and item pickups. Access these settings in the main configuration menu.
What if a modded item isn't recognized by the mod?
Open the mapping screen with V and manually assign the unrecognized item to a sound group. If it still doesn't appear, check that the item is categorized as a weapon or tool by its mod.
