How to Confirm Your CIT Setup Works In-Game

A Simple Test

Once CIT Resewn NeoPatcher, Sinytra Connector, and CIT Resewn are all installed, you want a quick way to confirm everything is live. The easiest test is a pack that changes an item based on its name.

Testing Steps

1. Install a small CIT pack that renames a common item, such as a stick or sword, into a custom texture.

2. Enable the pack in Resource Packs and reload.

3. Use an anvil to rename the item to the exact name the pack expects.

4. Hold the item and look at it in your inventory and in hand.

If the texture changes, your patched setup is fully working. If it does not, the pack may use an unsupported condition, or the patcher is not active.

What Success Looks Like

A working setup shows custom textures for renamed items, enchanted items, or items with specific durability, depending on what the pack defines. Remember that CIT Resewn emulates many but not all OptiFine CIT features, so some packs will only partially work even when the patcher is doing its job correctly.
