CIT Resewn NeoPatcher Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
What does CIT Resewn NeoPatcher actually do?
It patches CIT Resewn so it can load on NeoForge through the Sinytra Connector compatibility layer. It doesn't add any features of its own — it just fixes the compatibility issues that would otherwise stop CIT Resewn from running.
Do I need Sinytra Connector installed for this to work?
Yes. This mod is a patch for the Connector layer, not a standalone port, so CIT Resewn won't load on NeoForge without Sinytra Connector present. Install both and let the patcher handle the rest.
How do I know the patcher is actually working?
If CIT Resewn shows up as loaded and your CIT resource packs apply their custom textures in-game, the patch succeeded. If CIT Resewn is missing from your mod list or crashes on startup, the patch isn't being applied.
Why doesn't my CIT resource pack do anything after installing this?
The patcher only makes CIT Resewn run — it doesn't enable resource packs for you. Make sure the pack is enabled in your resource pack list and that it's actually a CIT pack with the proper properties files, not a regular texture pack.
Does the order of CIT Resewn, this patcher, and Sinytra Connector matter?
Load order generally isn't something you set manually with modern loaders, but all three need to be present together. If one is missing or outdated relative to the others, CIT Resewn will fail to load.
Will this work with other NeoForge mods that change items?
It can, but conflicts happen when another mod rewrites how item models or textures are resolved. If CIT textures stop applying after adding a mod, test with only CIT Resewn, the patcher, and Connector to isolate the conflict.
Does this mod hurt performance or FPS?
It's a lightweight compatibility patch, so it adds essentially no runtime overhead on its own. Any performance impact comes from CIT Resewn itself and how many CIT rules your resource packs define.
My game crashes on startup after adding this — what's wrong?
The most common cause is a version mismatch between CIT Resewn, the patcher, Sinytra Connector, and your NeoForge version. Make sure all of them are built for the same Minecraft version and loader generation.
Can I use this on a server, or is it client-side only?
CIT is a client-side visual feature, so the patcher belongs on the client. Players who want custom item textures need it installed locally; the server doesn't need it unless it's also running the same client-side stack.
Do I still need CIT Resewn itself, or does the patcher replace it?
You still need CIT Resewn — the patcher only fixes it, it doesn't include it. Install CIT Resewn, Sinytra Connector, and this patcher together for the setup to work.
