How to Pause, Resume, and Cancel a Chunky Task
Pause and Save Progress
If you need to stop a running task without losing work, pause it. Chunky saves the progress of a paused task, so you can pick it back up later from where it stopped. This is useful when you want to play normally for a while, or when the server needs the CPU for something else.
Resume Later
When you are ready, resume the paused task. It continues from the saved point rather than starting over. You can pause and resume as many times as you like across a session.
Cancel a Task
If you started a task in the wrong place or with the wrong radius, you can stop it and throw away its progress. Cancelling discards what was generated for that task, so only do it when you genuinely do not want the result. If you merely want to change the radius, it is usually better to cancel and start a fresh task with the correct settings.
Check Before You Cancel
Before cancelling, confirm the task is the one you mean — if several are running, identify it by its center or shape. After cancelling, the chunks already written to disk remain; cancelling stops the job, it does not delete existing terrain. Start a new task if you still need coverage.
