Fixing a Chunk Loaders Mod That Isn't Working

Check the Obvious First

If your chunk loader seems to do nothing, confirm the loader block is actually placed in the chunk you want loaded. Loaders only affect the chunk they occupy (or their configured radius for higher tiers). A loader sitting one block into the wrong chunk will keep the wrong area active.

Next, make sure the chunk is not already being force-loaded by something else, and that you are not on a server where the admin has disabled chunk loading. On multiplayer, server configs can override or block loader behaviour entirely, so ask before assuming the mod is broken.

Common Causes

  • Wrong tier for the job: a Single Chunk Loader will not cover a multi-chunk factory. Upgrade to a higher tier.
  • Loader unpowered or unconfigured: some tiers need redstone or a config toggle before they activate. Check the block's interface.
  • Chunk boundaries: your machine may straddle two chunks while the loader only covers one. Move the loader or add a second one.
  • Conflicting mods: other chunk-loading or performance mods can fight over the same chunks.

Testing Properly

Do not judge from a few seconds. If it still fails, remove other chunk-loading mods temporarily and retest with only this one active.
