Use Choose Dimension Mod on a Multiplayer Server

Server-Side Setup

Ensure the Choose Dimension Mod is installed on the server. The mod must be present in the server's mod folder for multiplayer functionality to work.

First Join Experience

1. Connect to the server for the first time

2. When you join, the dimension selection screen will appear

3. Choose your preferred starting dimension from the available options

4. Confirm your choice and spawn into that dimension

Per-Player Spawning

Each player on the server can independently select their own starting dimension. This means Player A might spawn in one dimension while Player B spawns in another, all from the same server world. This is useful for servers with multiple biomes or dimensions where players want different starting experiences.

Limitations

The dimension selection only works on your first join to the server. Subsequent logins will respawn you at your last known location or the server's default spawn point, depending on server settings. To change dimensions after your first spawn, use normal travel methods available in your modpack.
