How to Use Antiblock for Invisible and Colored Building

What Antiblock Does

Antiblock is a special Chisel Modern block that renders as a flat, solid color with no texture detail. It comes in many dye colors (Black, Blue, Brown, Cyan, Gray, Green, Light Blue, and more). It is useful for pixel art, modern architecture, and hiding light sources or redstone behind a clean surface.

Crafting and Coloring

Antiblock is typically crafted from the base antiblock plus a dye, or by chiseling a base antiblock into a colored variant. Check the Chisel Table: place a plain antiblock in the input and select the color you want. If you only have dye, combine it with antiblock in a crafting grid.

Building Tips

  • Pixel art: Antiblock's flat color makes it ideal for large murals.
  • Modern builds: Use gray and black antiblock for minimalist walls.
  • Lighting: Place a light source behind a thin antiblock wall to create a glowing panel.
  • Camouflage: Antiblock can hide pistons, hoppers, or chests if placed in front of them, though it is not transparent.

Limitations

Antiblock is a full solid block, not glass. It blocks light and mobs. If you need transparency, use a different variant. Also, some colors may be rarer depending on your dye supply, so plan your palette before committing to a large build.
